Every year I find that time spins faster.  I can’t believe we are at the end of February already!  With the commencement of Diamond Club 2017 we have seen a huge increase in enrolments this month, and whether you are a Diamond Club participant or simply sharing oils with family and friends I thought it was timely to go through what we should be doing to ensure that our new enrollees have the best possible start and a great doTERRA experience.

I have spoken to a few different people and come up with some tips that you might like to adopt.

Laying the Foundations For Your Relationship

When you first sign someone up, they’re excited, hungry for more information.  They have joined your team because there is something about their relationship with you that has struck a chord.  Whether they simply use oils, share them or become a builder, it is that relationship with you that is important, so nurture it from the beginning!  Let them know when your next contact with them is going to be.  Ideally we would recommend that you phone them within 24 hours, they have signed up with you, but as yet they have no oils, nothing tangible in their hands so you want to ensure that initial excitement continues.

Wellness Consultation

Book a Wellness Consultation with your new Enrolee when you contact them.  This sets the expectation for your next meeting and gives you the opportunity to find out more about your new team member’s goals.  Ask them questions about their own health and that of their family.  Find out about them, their individual needs, listen and provide them with the information that they are asking for.  This will give you the opportunity to determine the Essential Oils they need to achieve their health and wellness goals and you will be able to introduce the ways they can earn oils and products for free and at a discount.

Invite them to some Training

There are a number of things that impact on how engaged your new team member is, how frequently and how much they purchase and how soon they start sharing with others.  So right at the start of their doTERRA journey is a good time to introduce them to:-

LRP (our Loyalty Reward Program). The sooner they start a regular LRP order, the sooner they start earning points, the greater value they perceive in the oils and products they are purchasing.  Enrolees through a Diamond Club participant earn 25 product points when they have an LRP order that is 100 PV or more and those points are available in their third month after joining.

SRP (Shipping Reward Points). Make sure you talk about the Shipping Reward Points.  The shipping costs can be a hurdle for some people, when they learn that they actually earn points that can be used to purchase products when they submit an online order, this objection can be negated

Monthly Promotions. Every month we offer a Product of the Month and a product at a 10% discount.  These are great tools to use to ensure your new team member is placing a regular LRP order.  Help them understand how to maximize their spend by achieving these promotions.  In addition there is often an additional promotion (200 PV or enrolment promotion).  By working with your new team members to help them achieve these promotions you are developing your relationship with them and creating behaviors that ensure their success and longevity.

Information. There is lots of information available about our oils, our products, doTERRA in general, Australia and New Zealand in particular, youtube videos, Source to You website.  In fact there is so much information in so many different places it can be hard to know where to go.  Introduce your new team members to the information, where it is and let them explore it at their leisure.  Make sure they know where to go to get information about our monthly promotions and find any forms or paperwork they need.

Establish A Regular Contact Routine. Whether you run regular Conference Calls, send regular newsletters, share information through a website or social media platform, you need to let your new team member know how and when to contact you and when they can expect to hear from you.
