Today I am looking at the latest in a ever growing line up of M.U.S.C.L.E inspired mini figures, but with the Sucklord’s personal touch and Attitude. Keeping with the theme Suckle (I won’t be typing out all those periods every time that’s for sure) stands for Simply Unimportant Collectable Kitchy Little Eyesores. Produced by DKE Toys, and sculpted by George Gaspar these guys are more in line with Muscle figures than a lot of the other mini figs out there. Let’s take a look at The Suckles.
Suckle consists of Sucklord 66 (Boba Fett with a cape), Sucklord 43 ( Boba Fett in a suit), Sucklord 16 ( Boba Fett with horns), Ass Wipe ( roll of toilet paper), Necromancer ( one eye with a robe), Galactic Jerkbag ( robe with claws), Ira Tyranusberg ( MF Doom in a suit), Another Bitch (female General Grievous), Vectar ( decepticon belt with hooded cape), and Gay Empire ( shirtless stormtrooper) making up the 10 figures. There is also the 5 bonus figures from Kickstarter Suck Shark ( self explanatory), Carrator ( he-man figure with greenery for a head), Karate Chump ( Greedo in a karate outfit), Chop Suey ( takeout container), and Sad Alone Broken ( a Luke Chueh’s big headed bear) rounding out the assortment. The five bonus figures have yet to see release outside of KS backers ( which has lead to many Luke Cheuh fans seeking Sad Alone..), but with the price of molds in China I’m sure we will be seeing them at some point soon. Something I really like about these guys is they fit in scale and tone wise with muscle figures than something like OMFG, and the flesh color is even closer to classic muscle than a lot of the figures we have seen in that color as of late. The sculpts on these figures are good, but a bit soft at the end of the day. I’m sure this is what they were going for so I can’t knock it too much. For the most part all if the figures are well executed and look great. I dint care for Ass Wipe at all, and Another Bitch is a bit too thin to stand properly. Beyond those two I think the lineup is solid, but could have done with one less Sucklord figure as there is quite a few Boba Fett heads already. KS backers ( at the $40 level)got 3 full sets in Flesh, GITD, and Clear plus 2 sets of the bonus figures in GITD and Clear. I really wish we had gotten the bonus guys in flesh instead of one of the other colors though as the Clear/GITD makes it really hard to see (and photograph) the details on those figures. QC on these guys is spotless and coming from the same factory as OMFG, MWOTR, Glyos, and many more I didn’t expect there to be any issues.
Being Minifigures there is no articulation or accessories with these guys, but the sets you can buy from other retailers do come in a Muscle style can.
Overall while I do enjoy these figures for their look and the ability to actually fit in well with Muscle figures I don’t think I’ll need any more sets of them anytime soon in a rainbow of colors. Be sure to check out the Gallery below for all the pictures.
