*I received two registrations to the Color Run Kaleidoscope Tour to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.

The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality.

I shared with you not too long ago I would be running in the Kaleidoscope Tour. You can sign up for The Color Run here.

Well, I got to run in this year’s Fort Lauderdale Color Run and I got to do it with my 11 year old son, Jayden. It was so simple to sign up online; then it was so easy to pre register a few days before! They did a pre register/celebration event at Sports Authority which was set up beautifully, was well organized and a lot of fun! There was music blasting and everyone who was on staff was cheerful, smiling, and even dancing! We got an awesome gift package with included a reusable tote, head band, color run tshirt, happy tattoos, and shout to help out with washing the colors out after the run!

The morning of the race was a breeze. Color Run had a detailed map of the race location and all suitable areas to park, which was super helpful! We arrived at the race to music blaring and people dancing. To say this is the happiest 5k in the world is hitting the nail on the head! They had an MC which kept the crowds pumped, and were throwing out a ton of swag to everyone.

The race itself was great. I have run several races before, but this was my first fun run…and boy was it fun! Jayden and I loved hearing the music, seeing all the different color stations and of course getting colored!!

By the end of the race we looked like we had just run through a rainbow! We couldn’t stop laughing! After we crossed the finish line it was like a huge party with more color and swag for everyone!

I would recommend this run for anyone, young or old…especially for family groups and friends. I will definitely do this again with the rest of my family…and when I do I will know to bring a bandana to cover my nose and mouth when running through the color and sunglasses for my eyes! Also be prepared to really scrub down after the race, the color didn’t just rinse off.
