The line-up has been confirmed for the 12th annual Donegal Youth Service “Party in the Park” which takes place at Letterkenny town park on Wednesday, August 26.

This year the “Party in the Park” is the result of a community partnership between the Donegal Youth Service, The Northwest Regional Drugs Taskforce and the Donegal Youth Council Let’s Go Mental project.

It was born out of a challenge of finding something for young people to do in the summer and has developed in to a greatly anticipated event for all the family.

As well as 12 young local bands playing live there will also be some more established special guests like the recently signed “Little Hours” and the fantastic “In Their Thousands”.

Other great activities planned included: An outdoor cinema, outdoor human foosball, “Shake Up Sports” demonstrations by the Letterkenny Karate club and Letterkenny Boxing club, a pop up restaurant as well as badminton and volleyball demonstrations provided by the Aura Leisure centre.

There will also be art activities and inflatable fun for all ages, which runs from 2pm-7pm.

The event will have a huge positive mental health focus for young people, with many different activities organised and youth organisations who offer support to young people will be present on the day also.

The “Party In The Park” will be fully supervised by staff and volunteers from the Donegal Youth Service and will be a totally non-alcoholic event. So come along and enjoy the fun!
