I’m not sure we even need to have the awards this year. I’m not even sure we should have them after last year. I can’t tell you who the winners will be but I think I can tell you who the winners SHOULD be. Mostly because its a no contest for most categories. Here you go
DEVELOPER OF THE YEAR
Michael Sumner
Michael single handily took Namebio from clunky to the smooth, amazing, machine that it is today. Pretty sure he was a big part of Whoisology.com as well. He also developed the fun Domain Game App. Luc Lezon is in the developer hall of fame in my opinion but Michael is the new Luc (although Luc isn’t that old)
BLOGGER OF THE YEAR
Raymond Hackney
There is no harder working person in our industry than Raymond Hackney. He writes most of the blogs anyway. Again, an easy winner in my opinion. Elliot and Andrew do a great job but you can’t give it to them every year
REGISTRY OF THE YEAR
Uniregistry
Donuts and Rightside (I am a stock owner) could take it too but Frank does so much for the industry and promotion of the New Gs
REGISTRAR OF THE YEAR
Uniregistry See Above
DOMAIN BROKER OF THE YEAR
Andrew Rosener
Nobody is moving more names. Nobody. And he’s fucking funny as hell.
DOMAIN INVESTOR (DOMAINER) OF THE YEAR
Michael Berkens
30 million votes cast by Godaddy I can’t think of anyone that should beat him this year
DOMAIN INDUSTRY COMPANY OF THE YEAR
Uniregistry
Nobody is trying harder
BANDIT BERKENS GOODWILL AMBASSADOR-2016
Michael Cyger
This one could be a lot of people but I really think Michael is doing an amazing job of providing quality content to attract new investors into our industry. He is making content, not rehashing stuff others wrote, or reposting. Good quality content that spans a much larger audience than the regular 600 investors that read Domaining each day
DOMAIN INDUSTRY HALL OF FAME
Adam Strong
Ridiculous that he’s not already on there. He’s one of the original domain investors and has sold millions of dollars of domains. One of the best domain investors ever. Only reason he’s not on there is he’s not really a public figure, and because when he drinks and says stupid stuff some times. Although that probably has nothing to do with the voting.
