Whether you’re new to campus or just need a refresher, here’s useful information on technology resources that can help improve your educational experience. Your first step is to become familiar with DoIT (the Division of Information Technology). Find the help you want with technology and resources through the following DoIT services:

Help Desk

Find friendly, expert assistance to help you with technology issues (e.g. want to know how to set up your smart phone for campus email? – we can help!).

Free or reduced software

Take advantage of free software from the Campus Software Library, and discounted software you’ll need for class and fun from the DoIT techstore.doit.wisc.edu

Download the campus-required, free Symantec anti-virus software.

Computer labs

Free access for anyone with a valid UW-Madison ID.

There are 18 computer lab locations on campus (all include Assistive Technology).

Both Mac and Windows are available on dual-boot computers.

Lots of software and hardware are available for your use. Contact the labs to see if they have what you need.

Printing (color, b/w and duplex) is available at all labs.

Color cost 60 cents per image

Black & white is 7 cents per image

Use your Wiscard Campus Cash or printing-only account to pay

FREE Equipment check-out

Laptops, iPads, cameras, video cameras and audio recorders and more can be checked out for FREE, on a short-term basis.
