Carmen is an adult female German Shepherd Dog who is presently in the care of Coastal K9 German Shepherd Rescue in San Diego, CA. This poor girl was placed in shelter care when her elderly owner passed away. This was a hard blow to sensitive, loyal Carmen who had trouble adjusting to life without her owner. She became withdrawn and fearful and only by the tireless efforts of shelter volunteers has she regained most of her confidence. She now enjoys interacting with her new human friends and loves to play and give kisses. However, she will still need a patient, understanding person when she is adopted. It just might take a bit for her to adjust. She will do best in a home without young children.

Carmen is spayed, house trained and is up to date on her shots. When she finds a forever home with supportive, loving pet parents she will blossom into a great companion!
