Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women – Marissa DeWispelare, Doane College
Doane's Marissa DeWispelare is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. DeWispelare, a junior from David City, Nebraska, won the Bronco Stampede hosted by Hastings and helped the Tigers to the team title as well, edging Hastings by two points. She has been Doane's top finishing runner in 8 of the team's last 9 meets, dating back to the GPAC Championships in 2013.
Men – Hans Epp, Northwestern College
Northwestern's Hans Epp is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Epp, a sophomore from Giltner, Nebraska, helped lead the Red Raiders to the team championship at the Herb Blakely Invite, a meet hosted by Dakota State in Madison, S.D. Epp was the top Northwestern runner, placing second with an 8K time of 26:36. It marked the best collegiate finish for Epp. Northwestern, ranked 16th in the NAIA, will next compete in the Roy Griak Invite on Sept. 26 in the Twin Cities.
