Starting off with me, I know a ton of Bloggers that struggle to generate great Blog post title ideas consistently for their Blog post content.  A great Blog post title always draws the reader in.

Hence reliable tools, which Bloggers can leverage to craft exciting Blog post title or content ideas, which arrest attention, educate, entertain and add value to Blog readers just cannot be ignored.

Especially if access to the tool is FREE and dependable.

A recent survey by HubSpot and Smart Insights, found that quantity & quality of content are really top most challenges for all marketer/Bloggers.

What I’m going to share in this Blog post are 8 Free tools that generate blogging ideas that can be used in different ways, to ensure that you just cannot run dry as a Blogger.

Figuring Out What Your Site Visitor Is Searching For

Before you spend your time crafting your 1200 word, value add Blog post, wouldn’t it be terrific if you could figure out what your prospective site visitors are keying into search engines when they are searching for the content you are about to create?

If you could figure that out, then judiciously and naturally blend their search phrases into your Blog content, it’s highly likely Google will just deliver your Blog post to such searchers.  This goes a very long way in attracting focused site visitors to your Blog site.

Here are some great free tools you can use to find out the search phrases that potential customers are using to reach your Blog site. Then use exactly those search phrases as your Blog post content keyphrases to draw these individuals in.

Google Keyword Planner

Google Keyword Planner can be used to search for keyword and ad group ideas.

Enter a keyword or phrase, the URL of a landing page, and/or an AdWords category, and the Keyword Planner will return multiple potentially relevant keywords. Knowing what your customers are searching for is the first step in creating content that gets you found, as shown in diagram 1.

The tool multiple combination of keywords / key phrases, based on what you provide it, which is a huge help generating your long-tail keywords and/or Blog titles.

Google Suggest

The Google search box (Google Suggest) is a super simple, often ignored, technique of finding out what people are searching for.

Just type in your keyword and Google will suggest some variations of those same terms which are being searched for a lot as shown in diagram 2.

Scrolling right to the bottom of these search results will provide an extra helping of related searches that can be used for Blog titles – sheer magic – as shown in diagram 3.

UberSuggest

UberSuggest is a free keyword suggestion tool that makes ample use of Google Suggest and other suggest services.

Simply type a term into its search box, choose a language and a source, and UberSuggest will deliver it’s suggestions to you.

Using UberSugget can instantly get you thousands of keyword ideas from real user queries, i.e. real people are using these keywords in the search engines. Hence, if these keywords are relevant to your business, you should be creating content around the same keywords.

Honestly, you can use it to get ideas for your next 100 Blog posts. Copy paste these ideas in an editorial calendar and you will be good to go.

HubSpot’s Keyword Tool

The HubSpot keyword tool helps you understand what keywords are currently attracting people to your site.  It also shows you relevant keywords that you might not be currently ranking well for.

This helps you understand what topics you should be addressing in your content.

All you have to do is input your keywords into the HubSpot Keyword tool see where you rank for them, how many visits your website is getting from them, and how difficult they are to rank for as shown in diagram 6.

Bottlenose

Bottlenose works like a social stream, search engine. It pulls in trending articles and commentary from social platforms based on keywords entered.

This helps you identify what’s relevant for your chosen topics and can and does spark lot’s of awesome content ideas as shown in diagram 7.

SEOGadget’s Content Ideas Generator

SEOGadget’s Content Ideas Generator is basically a Google Doc. This gets populated with news stories, articles and tweets related to a topic.

If you want to brainstorm content on inbound marketing simply enter that keyword and the generator will give you a treasure chest of ideas with a single click of a button as shown in diagram 8.

Quora

Quora is the social question and answer platform. It is a great resource of ideas for various Blog post content topics as shown in diagram 9.

For example, search for inbound marketing and you can see the top stories and trending questions on Quora.  Then look at the questions that are currently unanswered. This is a clear indicator of how your Blog post can be of help to the individual who posted the question.

Create and publish your Blog post that answers the question. Login to Quora, locate the question, leave a short three, four line explanation of how your Blog post can help and place a link to your Blog post as well.

This approach is guaranteed to drive focused site visitors to your Blog site.

HubSpot’s Blog Idea Generator

HubSpot’s Blog Idea Generator can definitely kick-start your creative process.

This Blog Topic Generator will come up with a week’s worth of custom topics for you, all in a matter of a few seconds as shown in diagram 10.

Using keywords you provide, the tool will come up engaging titles tailored to those terms. That way, you can always feature relevant, but interesting posts on your Blog.

NOTE: Please read their tool disclaimer carefully, their algorithm is not perfect, but you can definitely tweak the throughput HubSpot delivers to perfection.

Try out these all of these tools and hopefully you will have a whole year of great Blog titles in your editorial calendar.  Blog titles that will attract high quality traffic to your site and convert site visitors into leads and from there to paying customers for your business.
