DKOR interior design team during a site visit
We’re delighted to share the first blog post about our recent DKORate project our team started working on earlier this year. We are moving into the production phase of the Key Biscayne residence featuring unique interior design elements and an outstanding connection between interior and exterior spaces.
DKOR clients, a young family with two small children from Mexico requested the DKOR interior design team turn their Key Biscayne house into their dream home using clever decorating solutions.
Surrounded by a tropical environment in a dynamic community, the residence has distinctive architectural elements that inspired the design concept, “Nested in the midst of evergreen gardens”. The homes main living spaces offer interior design details that transmit the charm and serenity acquired from the design inspiration. Some of these design details applied to the interior spaces were suspended elements, connection, and play of light and shadows. The design team incorporated the use of natural materials using soft gray color combinations mixed with bright colors and accent furniture pieces with natural wallcoverings.

Because the family really enjoys using their outdoor living space, our interior design team also focused on achieving a connection between the exterior and interior spaces. The first floor terrace blends perfectly with the interior areas with a similar aesthetic and functional design.
