"Benzaldehyde is the majority constituent of almond flavoring and present in many nut-based ingredients. Inhalation presents known risks. Multiple assays and in-vivo studies from the 90's and early 2000s present a HUGELY varied compilation of results regarding inhalation toxicity of benzaldehyde in mice. While no human trials or recorded/validated exposure events have been conducted to-date, there is a breadth of information available hinting at some toxicity risks of the inhalation of benzaldehyde."
