Hi All,

New here but have been lurking for about a year. I have been gathering information and resources and I am very close to beginning my 5th installation. I intend on learning from my past mistakes which were mostly due to impatience.

I have most of my gear and decided to begin at the ground floor. Honda Civic's are not well known for their acoustics so sound deadening will come first, a mistake a made in my last Civic-I added none.

Second will be power, The new PCM/CPU controlled Alternators kinda puzzled me but I think I found a supplier for a 300 amp alt. that is compatible with the Civic. An additional Batt. in the trunk is also on order. Still don't believe (100%) that the alt. manufacturer has a direct replacement 300 amp. alt. for the Civic so I am going to install it, connect it to the Car side and the audio batt. and hook it up to an invertor with a significant load and see how the Civic reacts to it. Hopefully no Batt. or Check Eng. Lights. Will probably run that way for a month just to be sure.

There is lot of good information on this site and I really do appreciate those die-hards who are always there to help!
