SO, I’ve developed this series to help debunk those programs so that those of you who are in need of some extra cash, whether it’s because you’re tired of living paycheck to paycheck, want to pay off your debt fast, or want to find a way to support your family as a stay at home mom, won’t struggle to find tried and true methods to earn money online.

A simple way to make extra cash with your gift purchases this year.
If you are anything like me, much of your holiday shopping is done on the internet. But here’s something I bet you didn’t know: you can make extra cash online by simply buying gifts for your friends and family!
How? It’s simple, by signing up for a program called: Ebates. Ebates is a great free company that offers cash back on HUNDREDS of purchases on top stores: Walmart, Amazon, Kohls, Nordstrom, Old Navy, JCP, Macy’s, Overstock, Sprint, Kmart, the list goes on and on.
How does it work? That’s simple too. All you do is make purchases exactly like you normally would. By activating Ebates, you can get anywhere from 1-4% back on qualified purchases. AND with their special holiday savings, you get double cash back for the holiday season (that’s 7.0% on Amazon!). So, you can make extra cash with your gift purchases EASY this holiday season!
How does the pay work? So, you buy the items and get the cash back: easy, but you probably have a ton of questions on how you actually make extra cash. The thing with Ebates is, they are sponsoring companies through affiliate marketing (which means that they get a percentage from what you purchase through them, without the cost being raised for you). Basically, they are a paid advertiser for those companies. The biggest difference is that instead of keeping the percentage they receive for affiliate sales, they’re giving a portion of it back to you. Which, depending on how you look at it, is either a savings for you or some free cash in your pocket.
Ebates has already paid out over $325 million in cash back for people who have joined (unfortunately, not all of that was to me – lol!). Basically, you click on Ebates, go shopping, and get cash back. Ebates pays every three months (quarterly pay periods are listed on their site) and the minimum payback amount is $5.01 – however, if you do not meet that, it simply carries over to your next check (though with the holiday season here, it’ll be pretty easy to meet a $5.01 goal!)
How can you receive your payment? You can receive your payment in any number of ways. The three most common are a “big fat paycheck”, paypal account, or by mailing it to your choice of charity, organization, or a family member (free of charge).
Basically, if you need to make extra cash (or want to make a difference by donating to a charity or organization in need), Ebates is a great option. They give you the chance to make some extra money while doing your regular holiday shopping – and who doesn’t want that?
