Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom – Lightwood Games today is delighted to announce that Hero Brigade Brawl, a strategic card game of good vs evil, is now available on the App Store. The app is based on the tabletop game, Hero Brigade, which was funded through a Kickstarter campaign last year and is now in the final stages of manufacturing.

Designed by New York-based Zucchini People Games, the game was a huge crowdfunding hit, receiving pledges worth nearly four times the original funding goal. While backers wait for their copy of the game to arrive, they can now enjoy the same deck-building and positional card-battling gameplay elements in a new game that takes place in the Hero Brigade universe.

Hero Brigade Brawl is a two-player card game set in a world of comic book characters, where one player becomes the super-heroes and the other is the super-villains. It follows many of the rules of the original game, but the rules have been optimized for mobile so you can play anywhere, whenever you have time to take a turn.

Starting with a deck of 20 heroes or villains, players must recruit mercenaries to add strength to their ranks while balancing this with their desire to attack and the need to heal injured characters. The game is played in a turn-based format with friends via Facebook, or players can simply jump into the next available game.
