Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday. While I do hold a special place in my heart for all holidays, Thanksgiving is by far the one that lights the chef in me up the most. There is just something about taking a day to reflect, and enjoy being with the ones you love all surrounded by some of the most comforting foods. I’ve been preparing healthy Thanksgiving dinners for the past 18 years or so. Even as a guest on Thanksgiving, I’ve always had a hand in part of the food preparation. Over the years I’ve developed, refined and sampled many many recipes.

A few years ago after going gluten free and learning to prepare things in a more traditional manner, I found the need to revamp many of my recipes to suit my new lifestyle. That’s why I’ve created a collection of 18 recipes all gluten free, and some with an option for those who may still eat wheat. I want to share those recipes with others, which is why I’ve created my ‘Thanksgiving Classics ebook: Gluten Free & Traditionally Prepared’. (Get your copy HERE).  I’m not sure which recipe I get more excited about, they all get my mouth watering.

The recipes you will find in my Thanksgiving Classics eBook include;

Ambrosia

Brined Pastured Turkey

Shrimp Bisque

Brussel Sprouts in a Sherry Orange Cream Sauce

Green Bean Casserole

Mashed Turnips

Mixed Green Salad with Figs & Candied Walnuts in a Champagne Vinaigrette

Quinoa Stuffed Acorn Squash

Sweet Potato Casserole

Classic Sourdough Stuffing (gluten free option, traditional option, Sausage or Giblet stuffing)

Wild Rice Stuffing or Wild Rice Oyster Stuffing

Cranberry Sauce

Giblet Gravy

Basic Pan Gravy

Many of these recipes come with a few recipes in one. All of my recipes are with optimal health in mind. My sweet potato casserole focuses on flavor and not adding a ton of sweetness, you can add some honey but it’s optional. I find it so fun to feed people real food and watch them realize they can actually taste the main ingredients. My cranberry sauce is one of my favorites. I look forward to making the same one every year. I’ve tried so many types of cranberry sauce recipes over the years, but I just keep coming back to this one. I chose mashed turnips instead of potatoes to lighten the starch a bit. You would be surprised how good they are! The Shrimp Bisque is quite lovely and comes with a recipe for stock and shrimp butter, oh my! Shrimp butter – need I say more?! This eBook is for the main dish and side dishes only, no desserts are included.

Also please note that there are several recipes that require ahead of time preparation, so please review the recipes carefully so you can plan ahead.
