What’s better than a man in a uniform? A sharp dressed man! What’s even better than that?  A whole runway of them!

The inaugural Blue Jacket Fashion Show and dinner benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, featured NYC’s coolest and most talented sharped dressed celebrity dudes, including CNN’s Don Lemon, NFL star Victor Cruz, comedian Mario Cantone, fashion expert Carson Kressley and singer Ian Mellencamp, plus designers Thom Browne, Joseph Abboud and John Varvatos. Okay, it was more of an entertaining runway than what we anticipated. We LOVED it!

The best part was when a certain VIP asked me for the correct pronunciation of the name of a celebrated guest. That’s as much as we can share. Please support a wonderful cause through social media or a donation.

Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in America. It affects one out of seven men at some point in their lifetimes. Every 3.3 minutes a man is diagnosed with prostate cancer, and millions of men and their families are fighting this disease on any given day across the globe. African-American men have had the highest prostate cancer incidence rate of any racial ethnic group in the world. At 261.9 new cases per 100,000 in 1993, their rate is two-thirds higher than whites and more than twice as high as rates for Asian-Americans.

In addition to partnering with the Blue Jacket campaign to help raise awareness of prostate cancer prevention and treatment options, Johnson & Johnson has also committed to donating $1 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation for every photo shared using the free Johnson & Johnson Donate a Photo app. For every 30 photos that are shared, one hour of research and development for breakthrough treatments will be funded.
