The National Small Business Chamber (NSBC) Summit is set for Johannesburg, South Africa, next week, aiming to help local entrepreneurs equip themselves to overcome challenges posed by the evolving business and digital environments.

Claiming to be the largest entrepreneurial event in Africa, the NSBC Summit will take place on February 15 and 16, and promises to be the ideal location to kick start business plans; find new opportunities, and make new business connections.

Facing a challenging economy and a “technological revolution”, non-profit organisation the NSBC says South African entrepreneurs more than ever need the tools and skills to achieve success in a quickly adapting environment.

“There are a few disruptive technologies that are adjusting the playing field for entrepreneurs. Combine this with an audience that is less traditional too and you have a significant challenge,” says Mike Anderson, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of the NSBC.

The two-day event aims to help entrepreneurs by providing over 300 interactive exhibits, sessions and seminars.

The Summit features 100 free educational/training workshops; presentations on cutting-edge solutions, latest trends and new opportunities; and networking sessions.

“Running your own business can be challenging, in support of the thousands of business-owners in South Africa, the NSBC hosts this two-day business start-up and growth showcase to assist attendees to do better business,” says Anderson.

Registration costs ZAR100 (US$7.50), and is available here.
