My grandson was allowed to use his mother's laptop and now it won't connect to the internet. Instead of google.com coming up as the home page it is "mywebsearch..." with a lot of letters and numbers, but it doesn't actually "open" a page. If I try to get it to go to google.com it says Firefox is not available. I booted into safe mode with networking but it still won't let me access the internet and tells me there is "no connections available". I was going to try restoring to an earlier system restore point but decided to get help before I screw it up worse.
I still have an issue with my own laptop that I'm trying to resolve (...hey Broni...!):o
Whatever I do will have to be via USB drive until I can access internet on that laptop.
I can't access internet to update Malwarebytes so how do I do that - can I do it with the USB?
