WHITE/SALINE COs.—Judge considers dismissal of lawsuit: Here’s a piece you’re not going to find anywhere else, largely because apparently no one else knew about it, as we were the only media there and it was out of its original venue: The case of Todd Fort against Saline County State’s Attorney Mike Henshaw was argued on December 3 in Carmi, not Harrisburg. Judge Mark Stanley has taken Henshaw’s argument for dismissal of the whole case under advisement; this will be the lead-up to his decision, which could come at any time.
EFFINGHAM CO.—Murdered child’s mother charged with obstruction: Ciara DeRyke is now jailed in Effingham County, but only on an Obstruction charge. Find out what this is all about, as well as info not made available in the article we produced online when it happened, by reading this story.
