Premiere Motorsports Group Throws a New Rider Into the Action

for Lucas Oil Challenge Cup Event

The 2014 Short Course Off Road Racing Season has been a thrilling roller coaster ride filled with exciting chaos and carnage. There is truly nothing else like the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and there is no better way then to end the 2014 season than with the action packed Lucas Oil Challenge Cup Weekend taking place on October 25th – 27th at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park.

To end out the year with some excitement, Premiere Motorsports Group has enlisted the talents of a prominent off road desert racer to drive the Lunarpages PRO-2. Josh Daniel, a well known Trophy Truck racer and resident of Canyon Lake, will pilot the truck for the LOORRS 2014 final round 15 on Saturday making him eligible to race in the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup on Sunday.

Josh Daniel has had numerous opportunities to test with PMG in the PRO-2 to help gain seat time and learn the dynamics of short course off road. Over the course of 4 separate testing sessions at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park, Josh has clicked off approximately 200 laps around the track.

“We selected Josh Daniel because of his competent aptitude as a naturally talented racer,” Premiere Motorsports Group’s Team Manager Scot Demmer explained. “His desert racing experience does contribute, however we knew there would be much to learn from day one. Daniel has soaked up everything like a sponge and we are very pleased with his performance and results. Practice on a track is one thing, but racing door-to-door with a stacked field of veterans is another. The one thing I know for sure is Josh Daniel is not afraid of pressing down on the throttle and using the iron horn to stir up his competitors. We hope he can get in and get comfortable during Saturday and than turn it up a couple notches for Sunday.”

“I am really excited to have this opportunity,” Josh Daniel commented on his first chance at racing short course. First off, I need to give special thanks to Lunarpages and Premiere Motorsports Group for their gracious consideration. Jumping right into the top tier is going to be a huge challenge but I am going to give it everything I got. I am well aware of the huge differences being a desert racer and comparing it to short course off road motorsports. A 4,000 lb. PRO-2 drives and reacts way unlike a 7,000 lb. Trophy Truck. I think I have a good ability to catch on and figure things out quickly. This is a stacked field with the best in the world, so I’ve been doing a lot of studying, watching videos, and getting preparing mentally. Having this chance is a once in a life time opportunity and you can bet that I will be racing hard every lap and all the way to the checkered flag.”

Premiere Motorsports Group is looking forward to ending the season out on a good note. Either way, the team is pumped up and ready for action. As always there is a lot of excitement surrounding the final event and it is sure to be a sell out standing room only crowd.
