Our Lady of Victory Parish in Tallmadge, Ohio (Summit County) is in need of a Pastoral Minister. This person will be responsible for administrating (e.g., designing, developing, directing and evaluating) a variety of areas in the parish. While a generalist, these will include (but not be limited to) a focus on the adult members of the parish community, aiding them in their spiritual journey. This includes (as a sample): Senior members of the community; homebound/nursing home/hospitalized members of the community; bereaved (e.g., assist the survivors in funeral preparations as well as oversee bereavement ministry); Evangelization; the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults; baptism preparation for parents seeking baptism for their children (this includes facilitating the ministry of the Baptismal Team); Adult Religious Education and Formation; Young Adult Ministry; Family Ministry. The candidate must be an active member of a Roman Catholic Parish and in good standing in the Church. A minimum of either diocesan certification as an Ecclesial Pastoral Minister or a Bachelors’ Degee in Theology or equivalent area is required. The candidate is expected to have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Parish setting as a Pastoral Minister or some equivalent ministerial leadership role. This is a full-time, exempt position and entails regular evening and weekend presence.
