Get Your Phil – Dinner & Concert Packages

The Los Angeles Philharmonic is partnering with some of Downtown LA’s best restaurants for the launch of their Get Your Phil program: a specially crafted prix fixe dinner for only $32 per person (including tax/tip, doesn’t include alcoholic beverages), followed by a wonderful concert (some packages start at a bargain rate of $50 per person) at Walt Disney Concert Hall. At dinner, guests will also enjoy an insightful presentation about the concert by a special guest and a member from the LA Phil. First up, Chaya Downtown with Salonen conducting Debussy & Bartók. It’s the ultimate comedy and music festival taking place on the Santa Monica Pier. Farmer’s Market Fall Festival

The Derby Girls will be at Angel City Brewery to preside over the ceremonial tapping of the brewery’s Oktoberfest beer at 12:30pm with Brewer Dieter Foerstner. Then the party continues with a Derby Girl photo booth. Ping pong, darts, corn hole and ladder toss competitions will be taking place all day. There will be live music by RT N’ the 44’s, great food from the Currywurst food truck and of course, there will be plenty of beer flowing.

Join Link n Hops for their first annual Oktoberfest as they celebrate the fall season with craft beer and great food for two days in Atwater Village. Sip on a variety of seasonal specialty beers by four amazing breweries and munch on a savory sausage with Belgian fries. Chef Sandra Cordero from the pop-up Cordero Negro and mixologist Kim Stodel from Bar Chloe present Tipsy Tapitas, a 16-course tapas tasting for two nights only, Oct. 20 and 21. The menu includes such tapitas as olive tostada with pisto and quail egg, roasted cauliflower and saffron soup, croquetas, Swiss chard stuffed with morcilla sausage, mini lamb burger on a pretzel bun with saffron aioli, chocolate ganache cake, homemade turron and Night Owl espresso ice cream. November 1-2 – Westchester’s favorite new watering hole Cinco, is channeling its Oaxacan roots with the ultimate boo-zy Dia de Los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”) celebration. In addition to drink specials, the festivities to honor the deceased will include traditional mole negro plates, an altar that will be up all week for guests to pay tribute to their loved ones with photographs and sweets, and a live Mariachi Band on Saturday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
November 2-3 – Temecula Valley wine country invites locals and visitors alike to celebrate this year’s wine grape harvest at the region’s Harvest Celebration Barrel Tasting Weekend. This fall passport event is the last chance of the year to explore more than 30 wineries, sample new and unfinished wines, enjoy delicious food pairings, and experience the beauty of wine country in autumn – all in one weekend. A two-day ticket runs $99, Sunday only is $79. Food only for the designated drivers is $69.
November 2 – Dia de los Muertos at Hollywood Forever is a must see event. Partake in various sacred ceremonial tributes and memorable altar creations with a vibrant traditional procession in the home of Hollywood’s Immortals. There is tons of food, 3 music stages, many themed parades around the cemetery, vendors of all kinds of Day of the Dead items and an altar contest, not to mention a lot of great costumes. November 7 – After four years and thousands of lobster rolls served, Tasting Table is ready to take its marquee culinary event, the NYC Lobster Roll Rumble, on the road. That’s right, it’s coming to LA.
