Institutional repositories are becoming ubiquitous at institutions that want to maintain a record of and promote their research. The challenge is to ensure the repositories are up-to-date, accurate and comprehensive. To address this challenge, Elsevier would like to work with IR managers of DSpace repositories to co-develop plugins that work with our ScienceDirect APIs.

In this regard, the Digital Library Federation Forum – as a “meeting place, a marketplace, and a congress” – is the perfect starting place to find an experienced digital librarian to partner with, explore new ways of working, and then evangelize together to the greater community.

Are you excited about the possibilities that ScienceDirect APIs present for IRs? As a pilot partner, you will benefit not only from the enhanced services for your IR and authors, but also serve as a leader in the library community in exploring IR automation and enhancement as we discuss the project on our web pages and in Elsevier’s Library Connect Newsletter.
