Controversial magician Derren Brown gave commuters a rush-hour shock with these two chilling Victorian sisters.

The 10-year-old girls, dressed in period costume and wearing creepy doll masks, materialized at various spots around London this morning.

Many confused and unnerved members of the public took to social media after seeing the terrifying two-some carrying toy dolls and pushing an empty 1900’s style pram.

The sightings, at Charing Cross Tube Station, Oxford Street, Regent’s Street and Hamleys, were later revealed to be an elaborate stunt by Thorpe Park Resort to promote the world’s first psychological theme park attraction created by Derren Brown arriving in spring 2016.

Commuters turned to social media to express their shock and intrigue; one person in Charing Cross tweeted ‘At Charing Cross. Saw these two weird things on escalators..’

Another posted “Well…these things are creepy as hell….and in the wrong era! #tube’. While a passer-by at Oxford Circus said, ‘Creepy dolls spotted at Oxford circus tube. And they move. My nightmares have become a reality. #CreepyDolls’

Presenter and journalist Jamie East even tweeted about seeing the Victorian Dolls on the tube: “Erm? Just spotted on the tube #somethingsnotright”

Derren Brown said: “The theme of Victoriana is ever present in my work and you will see glimpses of this in my new attraction.

“I believe we are moving toward a future where theme park attractions not only give you a physical experience but also play with your mind and the concept of what is real.

“The Victorian twin dolls, who have popped up around London this week, are just a taster of what my new attraction has in store for visitors to Thorpe Park next Spring.

“I look forward to the public unwrapping the clues of what’s to come – all is very much, not what it seems.”

The spine chilling walking Victorian twins, reminiscent of The Grady sisters from the horror film ‘The Shining’ are part of a week-long marketing plan which will see the ‘living dolls’ roaming high footfall commuter areas across London.

A specially commissioned team of tailors spent three weeks creating the white Victorian corsets and accompanying pallid doll masks, which concealed the faces of two 10 year old sisters.

The team at Thorpe Park Resort announced the new, world first Derren Brown attraction in October which resulted in worldwide media coverage and endless speculation as to the content of the ‘ride’.

The first announcement was paired with a series of images of the TV star and renowned mentalist’s mouth sewn shut – hinting that he has been sworn to secrecy on this new endeavour.

Since the announcement theme park enthusiasts have been crawling over the Park’s site to find clues and some have gone as far as to hack the Resort’s social media accounts to uncover Derren’s secret.

The latest activity provides the first clues as to the nature of the forthcoming attraction.

The new Derren Brown experience will be the world’s only fully immersive psychological attraction, designed to manipulate the human mind.

Mike Vallis, Divisional Director of Thorpe Park Resort said: “Following the announcement of Derren Brown curating our new 2016 attraction in October, we have had many enthusiasts try to unravel our closely guarded secret.

“From theme park enthusiasts trying to access the site to fans sneaking into the backend of our social media accounts to look for scheduled posts.

“So due to demand and interest in our largest investment to date we have released our next clue, The Victorian Twins”.

THORPE PARK Resort has released a cryptic microsite www.mindswanted.co.uk to promote the attraction, which crashed on the day Derren Brown’s name was released as the new IP.

Fans can sign up for information at the site and will be the first to know when more information is released.

Construction on the new attraction has already begun on the THORPE PARK Resort site and is shrouded in secrecy.

The company have however, revealed that the footprint of the new experience will encompass 2,306 square metres and will involve a team of over 1,000 specialists from THORPE PARK Resort’s ‘Magic Making Creative Department’ and external experts, due to the ground breaking nature of the attraction.

Visitors to the ‘themed’ experience in 2016 will embark on a 13 minute journey, making the one-of-a-kind attraction a totally unique theme park experience.
