Tell us about your family:

I’m a wife, mother, and a Nana!  Robert and I and our sweet little kitty, Amber, are living in Fort Worth near all of the kids and grandkids.  My son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Audra, are only an hour away in Frisco, north of Dallas, with their 2, Jack (6) and Olivia (3), and my daughter, Brandi, her husband, Ryan, Lincoln (6), Charlie (2), and baby Lucy (1) are right here in Fort Worth with us. We’re in Nana and Papa heaven!

How long have you been designing? What program(s) do you use?

I’ve been creating digital scrapbook kits for 10 years now.   I use my good old PhotoShop Elements 5.0 as well as the full PhotoShop.

What part of designing comes easiest to you (themes, colors, papers, elements?)

I start with a theme and choose from one of the many color palettes I keep in a folder and hope to get to someday.  I choose the style, either cute or gorgeous and go from there.

What part of designing is most challenging to you?

It’s definitely time.  I have so many ideas for designs I’d love to make, and balancing family time and designing time is always a challenge.

If you’re running low on design mojo, where do you go to kickstart your creativity?

Believe it or not, in 10 years of designing, I’ve never been out of ideas.

What has been the greatest compliment you have received about your designs?

I’ve received the sweetest notes from customers.  One told me that she checks my stores daily watching for new sets she can buy.  It’s really nice to know that others enjoy your work so much.

Link us to a layout that you have seen using your work that just left you awestruck.

It was so hard for me to choose just one.  I’m blown away by so many of the layouts I’ve seen with my kits.  I love this one ~

How much time do you allocate to designing in a typical week?

I retired from teaching almost 4 years ago, so I have much more time to design now.  On days I’m not with friends or family, I spend most of my waking hours at my computer.  I’d say in a typical week, that would be about 50-60 hours.

What is the latest you’ve ever stayed up to finish a design or scrap?

I work ‘round the clock more often than I should.

What’s your favorite snack to have handy while you design?

I don’t usually snack when I work, but I do have my Diet Coke on my desk.

Slippers or barefoot?

Barefoot

Favorite tv shows?

Scorpion

Right now I’m watching all 3 – Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med

Where is the farthest you have been from home?

Home is Texas, so the farthest I’ve been from here is to Stavanger, Norway.

What activities do you enjoy?

My days are totally busy and totally packed with lovin' on family, designing, scrapping, exploring other creative avenues, dancing (choreographed ballroom with my sweet Robert), singing in the church choir, learning new things, playing games, taking walks, and visiting with friends.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

I would love to be able to clone myself so that I could be doing lots of the things I love at the same time.

I hope you find some of my designs just perfect for your digital scrapbook pages!  Happy Scrapping!
