If you are a long term follower of our articles, you’ll probably know that we are currently tracking the very mysterious One Direction concert mascot, Rainbow Bondage Bear, and his little pal, Sugar Baby Bear.
If you are a newcomer, then a quick overview would be that RBB and SBB have been making sporadic appearances at 1D’s gigs around the world for over a year. Nobody knows who is in charge of dressing and displaying the bears ahead of each show, but they appear to be little hints towards what is going on behind the scenes with the band.
We know that somebody close to the boys, if not the boys themselves, are behind them as security at the shows have confirmed that they are not allowed to touch the bears, and the band’s drummer, Josh Devine, has shared photos with the bear from backstage but insisted that he has nothing to do with dressing them.
Recently, an ‘official’ Twitter page for the bears appeared online, with many fans believing that Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are the ones behind it - especially after the bear posted a pic from a drag show in Birmingham and one of the drag queens appeared to confirm that Larry took the snap in question.
Anyways, now that we are all on the same page, exactly five days ago the person behind the account started a countdown on Twitter, first sharing a pic of a rainbow-coloured hand print, followed by the number ’-4’ being the answer on a calculator the next day.
The day after that, the account posted an image of three bowls of porridge, and then a screenshot of their phone, which had a rainbow coloured number two as the background - alongside some pretty amazing apps.
Yesterday, the page shared another screenshot of their phone - this time drawing attention to the ‘1’ number on their messaging app, and moments ago they struck both fear and excitement in the hearts of their fans across the globe, with the account posting a photo of a warning sign which reads: “DANGER Bears coming out of hibernation”.
WE ARE SO EXCITED THAT WE MIGHT ACTUALLY BE A LITTLE BIT SICK.
Fans are obviously confused and thrilled at the teaser, with many speculating that we will finally find out who on Earth is in charge of the bears - and who has been spending quite a lot of time placing the stuffed toys next to framed photos of gay but closeted male personalities for the past few weeks.
However, did the culprit already reveal himself in an accidental blunder?
Eagle-eyed fans spotted that the Twitter account finally had a new header on it’s social media page, and they were stunned to discover that if they zoomed into the bear’s sunglasses, they were able to make out the reflection of somebody who looked an awful lot like 23-year-old Louis.
Wearing the same Vans T-Shirt as Lou had previously worn on stage, and with the outline of his wrist tattoo seemingly visible, fans tweeted the account in their hundreds to point out the very obvious mishap - with the headline image being changed quickly after.
But simply not quickly enough… And now we are even more excited to find out what the bears meant when they warned that they were ‘coming out of hibernation’, although we are wondering if we will ever be emotionally prepared for it.
