Wheatgrass juice and ANXIETY? I dont unserstand????????

Ok i know wheatgrass jucie is supposed to be VERY HEALTHY so i had a shot before breakfast. Within 30 minutes i felt the jitters( like with caffine) and anxiety. Does this mean im allergic to it or just because my body isnt used to it??

I did have alot of caffine yesterday and didnt sleep well last night. Could that have something to do with it?

Well wheatgrass juice can be a very effective detoxifier. It could be signs of detoxifying–what is called an healing crisis. (One gets unpleasant symptoms and feels worst before they feel better) Look this up and see if it sounds like it could be that.

One needs to be very gradual with wheatgrass starting at one ounce or less and only very gradually working up to 8 oz maximum. Some people get sick drinking it at first.

It is hard to say what is going on but cut back a little and see if it helps and don't take caffeine for a while to see if the symptoms persist. You can add some apple juice (fresh) to improve taste.

Sometimes it is not a food/herb one is allergic to but the toxins gathering in the body. It is important when going on a cleansing program that the elimination organs are clean..this involves various cleanses. The elimination organs would be (most important is the colon) and also kidney-bladder/liver-gall bladder/skin/ blood and lungs. If the toxins cannot get out due to unclean elimination organs, then one would feel worst as they break loose and begin accumulating in the blood etc.

Sometimes drug residues remain in the body and as the detoxifying herb/food works, they circulate and that could be what is causing the anxiety.

Perhaps you should try Dr Richard Schulze's intestinal cleanse one and two. One must do both unless they had a disorder like crohn's. The intestinal cleanse #2 releases 3000 drug residues.

Wheat grass is amazing but it is a very potent substance. One wants to be careful not to cleanse too fast sometimes. Why not try to increase raw foods for a while and reduce animal to help first or with it. Try adding some green smoothies. Mix in a blender with fruit any of these or other greens: spinach, kale, collard greens, beet, turnip, carrot and radish tops, Swiss chard, romaine, watercress, parsley, broccoli, celery, bok choy, Asian greens, and wild greens like dandelion greens, violet or daisy leaves, plantain, burdock, lamb's quarter, cleavers etc.

Be sure to use different greens each day as using the same ones all the time can make you sick as each contains a toxin so animals in thew wilds do not overgraze them and kill the plant and that way they eat various ones. As long as you change them every day or two, they should be great. Add apple, berries, bananas or other fruits so they are palatable.

Victoria Boutenko who reached incredible health by drinking two gallons a day, did experiments with a town. They did not change their normal diet at all they just added one quart (2-16 ounce glasses) a day to their normal diet. All reported various health improvements and many also lost weight.

I think some people use wheat grass like an energy shot boost..maybe that accounts for a jittery feeling like caffeine would in some people, but there are other ways to good health and raw, whole vegan foods and green smoothies are two of them. Also detoxifying the elimination organs helps one's health..bad out and stopped (this includes habits) ..good in and started (new healthy habits)

Juicing Fruits and Veggies?

If i juice 4 apples, is that really 4 apples that i have put into my body? Just wondering if what i juiced is like i would have eaten it? Any other advice about juicing will be good too, i just bought a juicer and plan on using it multiple times a day, Jack Lalanes juicer if i spelt that right LOL.

Well It depends on your reason for juicing. Unless one is juice fasting it is a good idea to both juice and eat raw produce.

The thing that juicing takes out is pulp/fiber.

So you would not be getting the insoluble fiber but you would be getting the soluble fiber in many cases.

If one does not eat the pulp according to the father of the modern juice movement Dr Norman Walker, who both lived to be 97 and also invented the first juicer the top of the line norwalk juicer, the produce even if heavily sprayed becomes organic.

This is because all the pesticides, herbicides etc are concentrated in the fiber of the plant..locked inside the fiber is the pure organic juice and when the plant is smashed and separated in the juicer, the pesticides and juice repel as oil to water, so as long as the pulp is not consumed, the juice is organic even if it is not organic produce.

If one wants to use the fiber, there are recipes for it and one can top with say newman's poppyseed dressing or use in soup etc.

If one is juice fasting and otherwise you want to drink the juice within 20 minutes so the vitals elements go to healing and repair and not digestion. Take the juice on an empty stomach and with no food or pulp for a half hour and the juice goes quickly to the bloodstream and does not take hours to digest. This way most of the value is not going mainly to digestion but to healing and repair.

Of course you can also take it with meals.

Be sure to chew the juice to bring saliva even if juice fasting

Dr Walker had juice recipes for many ills and I notice that a few juices were in every disease so these must be excellent healers..they were carrot and carrot -spinach (6 oz carrots and 4 oz spinach) also lemon was there quite a bit

Adding lemon or ginger to many juices tastes good.

Some believe fruit and veggies should not be mixed. The exception to this is apples which can be used with any veggie and greens which being quite different than the average veggies can be mixed with both veggies and fruits.

You want to include a lot of green smoothies and green juices in your day..smoothies are usually made in a blender like the vitamix and juices in a juicer or one can juice say some apples and then put some greens in the blender with water and then mix (you dont get a lot of juice from greens in a juicer so this is more cost effective

A study done on green smoothies found that even if people made zero changes to their diets but did add one quart of green smoothie per day had health changes. All participants reported increased energy, improved digestion and elimination, better sleep, weight loss and other health improvements

to make a green smoothies mix any of the following greens with fruit and water..one can use a natural sweetener like raw agave nectar if sweetener is needed

These are some of the greens: kale, swiss chard,. Arugula, green leafy tops of beets,carrots, daikon, radishes,parsley root etc, romaine, any dark leafy lettuce, dandelion greens, spinach, watercress, parsley, leafy herbs like basil, tarragon etc, broccoli, celery, bok choy any Asian market green and safe wild greens like lemon balm, lamb;s quarter, grape leaves, leaves of daisies, violets, dandelions, purslane, burdock, cleavers etc

To this add any fruit you like like berries, apples, pears, peaches, melons, berries,. Cherries, grape, kiwi, citrus, etc

Juices must be drank within 20 minutes lest enzymes dissipate and should be made fresh each time but smoothies (containing pulp) can be held in refrig about 2 or 3 day (store in glass jar filled to tiptop with most air excluded.

Basically juices concentrate the nutrients for easier healing and since they do not need to be chewed up are easier to assimilate thus one can extracts more of the vital elements like nutrients, phytochemicals etc

Get some good juice books with recipes..I wrote down what I think of the juice in the book (or a card) so next time I know if it tastes bad or good

I need to get rid of eczema,the skin texture and the scaring/colouring (the whole condition in general)?

I am loosing seriouse confidence in my appearance i feel low alot of the time and cover my arms even in the beautiful summer weather that we have at the moment i am so tired of this skin condition i have had it since i was a child but my mother always kept in under such good control that you would never had known that i had it cos my skin was perfect but as i got older my mum slowly lost control of what i ate,what mosturisers i used etc…now it is coming back extremelly fierce and rapidly it is HORRIBLY bad in my elow joints and is spreading all across my arms it is also coming up in my knee joints slowly but surley and it is also appearing in smaller patches across my body that i know will develop if i dont stop this NOW …this is ruining my love life as well as confidence PLEASE HELP ME !I DNT NEED INFO ON WHAT ECZEMA IS COS I KNOW WHAT IT IS I NEED SOLUTIONS! I am at the end of my tether im 15 and desperate please help me !!!!!! It is scaly and bumpy it is a very dark colour and becomes VERY dry sometimes it goes very smooth and i think it is on its way to clearing up but it only comes back harsher and no matter how smooth the texture becomes the colouring is ALWAYS the same I HATE IT ….please help thankyou and god bless xx.

Provided you are otherwise healthy – and always checking with your doctor of course – I'd suggest adding 30 i.u. Of Vitamin D every day for every pound that you weigh. Example: if you weigh 150 pounds X 30 = 4500 i.u. Of vitamin D needed every day. Dr. Oz has even recommended as much as 10,000 i.u. Per day for the first initial month. (But again, you need to check with your doc and have never been the recipient of an organ transplant and have a healthy liver and kidneys.)

There are soooooo many different types of eczema…. I'm suggesting the vitamin D based solely on the fact that it CURED my eczema. I am 125 pounds and take 5000 i.u. Every day… If I don't – my eczema comes back with a vegeance. You really need to do an elimination diet and rule out food allergies and your triggers – they can certainly cause your immune system to over-react resulting in skin cells shedding too quickly. If you and your doc DO decide to give the high-dose D a try you MUST be persistant. It took me 3 months before my eczema healed up completely using this method. Good luck!
