Introduction: Shri Vasantbhai Gajera, strongly believes that wealth spent only on luxurious living, has no meaning, unless a part of it is utilized for downtrodden and for betterment of Society. This view is strongly supported by all his brothers, Girdharbhai, Chunibhai, Ashokbhai and Bakulbhai. Thus the seed called “selfless devotion to society” embedded deeply in their hearts, gave rise to the establishment of a Trust called Smt.Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust, in memory of their dear Mother & Father, Smt Shantaben and Shri Haribhai Gajera. The activities supported by this trust branched into various fields like Educational, Social, Cultural, Medical etc.

Smt Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Shaishnik Sankul, Amreli : Education is a basic necessity for overall development of society and Nation. Mr. Gajera took upon himself to educate the underprivileged children in Amreli, Surat and Vapi. The Shantaben Haribhai Charitable Trust in Amreli takes care of meeting the funds for maintaining these schools. The foundation for the most extensive, modern educational complex at Amreli for educating only girls, of all casts, creed, social status, right from kindergarten to post graduation was laid in December 1998. The school have ultra modern facilities to provide education, like Library, language laboratory, E-Learning, Computer Lab, Health Centre, Canteen, Open Air Theatre, Mall, Playground, Gymnasium, Audio Visual Room, Conference Hall, Auditorium, etc. There are Eleven Hostel Buildings in the campus itself housing 4,500 girls. In all, 9500 girls study in this school and many students get totally free education with Boarding and Lodging facilities. The college section offer courses in various streams like, B.A, B.Com, B.Sc., M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., BBA, BCA, B.Ed, M.Ed, MBA, MAM, B.Pharm, M. In April 2013, Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat was invited to inaugurate a new College, named Shri M L Kakadia M.C.A. Mahila College, Amreli, which too is managed by Shree Amreli Jilla Leuva Patel Charitable Trust, Surat. The college offers graduate and post graduate courses and is for girls only. The inauguration was attended by many Industrialists and business persons. Mr. Mehul Choksi, M.D. of Gitanjali Gems, graciously attended the inauguration and gave his best wishes on the occasion. Gajera Vidyabhavan, Surat, established in June 1999 provides ultra modern educational facilities to around 15,000 students, right from Kindergarten to Higher Secondary, in English as well as Gujarati medium. The school is well equipped, ISO certified, spread over an area of 10,80,000 SFT. It is equipped with latest computer laboratory, laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
