“Let me, O let me bathe my soul in colours; let me swallow the sunset and drink the rainbow.”
-Kahlil Gibran
Colors have intrigued me ever since I was little. I remember my father buying me coloring books and I could never have enough of crayons. My mother tells me, growing up I never needed much of a company; I would happily sit in a corner, and color away to my heart’s content. When I was around 5 years old, I was admitted to a drawing school, besides my Music and Dance schools, like most Bengali girls. It was there that I learnt the difference between different blues, greens and yellows. My drawing teacher also taught me, there are no rules when it comes to colors. You could paint your mood on a canvas with simple strokes of color.
My love for colors continues to remain till date and even though I no longer require a coloring book to claim it, I do it through Fashion. I shopped this Kurta online along with the Patiala pants (which came with a dupatta). The kurta was a little too large for me, hence I teamed it with the Kutch – Work jacket. The jacket was gifted by Dad (from a business trip to Gujarat). Apparently there is an entire lane in Ahmedabad where they sell these Kutch beauties.
