In August of last year AMD made a big investment in the OpenCL™ development community with the open source release of the clMath library. It brought years of intense development progress into the hands of OpenCL™ developers. Our hope was to enable another wave of accelerator software innovation and the response has been significant. We’ve seen impressive engagement in the community built around the library.

Among the most impressive of those efforts is recent work done by our clMath partner AccelerEyes with the release of ArrayFire v2.0. This new version adds support for OpenCL™, providing nearly seamless interoperability with the previous versions and hardware devices. With support for image and signal processing, data analysis, statistics, linear algebra, and more, ArrayFire v2.0 simplifies the process of high performance development for CPUs, APUs and GPUs.

Congratulations to the AccelerEyes team for the big step for open development. You can read more about the ArrayFire v2.0 release here: http://www.accelereyes.com/arrayfire/c/releasenotes.htm
