Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham is having a crazy summer. For starters, he was nominated for an ESPY. He’s creating new prototype gear that will bring freestyle wheelchair — aka WCMX — to more athletes and audiences. He’s also been throwing down all over with Nitro Circus, dropping jaws with his backflips and frontflips on a wheelchair. The live audience loves him, and the worldwide audience also can’t get enough online. We’ve been revisiting some of the biggest clips we posted over the course of the summer, featuring BMX and FMX so far. But these sports are definitely not the only game in town, and we think you’ll agree that Wheelz is in a category all his own. So here are five of the biggest Wheelz clips:

5. The Airport Obstacle Course Commercial

Wheelz isn’t just a pioneer of freestyle wheelchair. He’s the David Beckham of the sport, a global brand ambassador, and now the focus of an ad on France TV for the French Olympic Team.

4. Winch Growing Pains

There’s always a bit of an adjustment period from using drop-ins to our one-of-a-kind double winch system. All the athletes took some hard hits getting it dialed. But it never seems to matter to Wheelz fans whether he sticks the landing.

3. This Interview

Wheelz talks about his road to the Nitro Circus tour and his first flip on Giganta.

2. The World First Wheelchair Frontflip

Wheelz describes it as the best night of his life. The day he stuck the World’s First wheelchair frontflip, it was after a series of bruising attempts over the course of a New Zealand tour. Bonus: His mother was there.

1. The View From Up Top

This simple clip will separate the mortal from the mighty. The drop-in from the top of Giganta isn’t for the uncommitted, and it gives us all a great view of what the athletes face at every show.
