Taylor Swift

T-Swift’s cats are an obsession borne from another obsession. Detective Olivia Benson (Law & Order SVU) and Dr. Meredith Grey (Grey’s Anatomy) go nearly everywhere with her, including on rides in her private jet! She documents all their outings with her on social media, and they even have their own Twitter accounts. These cats definitely live luxurious lives!

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus literally brought home the bacon when she adopted her pet pig, Bubba Sue. Adopted as a baby piglet, Bubba Sue received the full pampered-pig treatment, getting a mani-pedi with her mommy. When she got a little bigger, she even posed with a naked Miley on the cover of Paper Magazine!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

The Rock might be a tough wrestler, but he’s a big softie when it comes to his two French bulldogs. Going everywhere with him, his pet children Brutus and Hobbs even work out with the actor at the gym! Although sadly Brutus is no longer with us (he ate a toxic mushroom in the backyard and had to be put down), Dwayne Johnson held his paw until the end and keeps his memory alive each day he spends with his doggy brother, Hobbs.

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried has a very special bond with her 7-year-old rescue dog, Finn. She has said before that she considers him her son, and that he completely changed her life with his arrival. They do everything together, including napping and hiking. Because of Finn, Amanda joined Best Friends Animal Society to inspire people to adopt and raise money to avoid the killing of animals in pet shelters around the country. The two of them are as close as can be!

James Franco

That’s right, James Franco is a proclaimed feline fanatic. He has two cats, Sammy and Zelda, whom he named after characters in books. Sammy came from the character of Sammy in “What Makes Sammy Run,” and Zelda is named after F. Scott Fitzgerald’s wife, Zelda. Whenever he feels down, James likes to talk to his fur buddies. “Sometimes I get a little sad…Then I talk to my cat about it and he reminds me I’m James Franco.” Well said, Sammy!

Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco is crazy about her rescue pit bulls, of which she has 3. She is an avid member of PETA and Animal Avengers, and she never turns down an opportunity to talk about her sweet pooch family. Pictured here with Shirley and Norman, you can clearly see the love between The Big Bang Theory actress and her fur children.

Ricky Gervais

Comedian Ricky Gervais is another Hollywood cat man, with his gorgeous furry friend Ollie. The two are the stars of regular magazine interviews and have a special relationship that means Ollie knows all his secrets and routines. “My favorite thing she knows is that I regularly go to the kitchen for a beer and have to walk past the stairs,” he’s said. “She runs up and gets to the stair that’s head height for a little fight with me through the banister.”

Paul Wesley

The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley rescued his cat when he found him freezing under a car in the winter storms of Atlanta. Dubbing him Cat (yes, he named his cat Cat), the two have been inseparable ever since. Now that’s a bond that won’t be easy to break!

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is gaga over her dog, Miss Asia Kinney, who is a celebrity in her own right. She has her own Instagram account and is a model for Coach! She made her modeling debut with a fancy collar for Coach’s “Coach Pups” Campaign. Her celebrity mommy is happy to make her pup a star, and loves nothing more than posting Instagram pics as Miss Asia Kinney.

Ryan Gosling

Hunk Ryan Gosling is about to become even hunkier when you find out just how much he loves his giant mutt, George. He takes him everywhere with him, even when he travels to LA from NYC. He once brought him onto an episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” because he said the canine was far more interesting than himself. The two handsome gentlemen are a match made in heaven!

Katy Perry

Katy Perry has been anything but shy when it comes to talking or posting about her feline companion, Mrs. Kitty Purry. She video blogs with her kitty all the time, and has even featured her in lyric videos to some of her songs. Kitty Purry was even nominated for her own Teen Choice Award for Best Celebrity Pet!

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood’s dogs, Penny and Ace, are as much a part of the family as her husband and son. They go on tour with her (though they never get invited backstage–Carrie doesn’t want to scare them!), and she always makes sure to check into dog-friendly hotels wherever she goes. Carrie even announced to her fans that she and her husband were expecting their first child by taking a picture of her two pooches wearing “Big Brother” and “Big Sister” T-shirts.

Kelly Clarkson

Singer Kelly Clarkson is a total animal lover. She has a ranch in Texas for unwanted animals, including amputee goats, blind dogs, and horses with colic. There are more than 80 animals at the sanctuary, and she helps provide them with veterinary care and an adoptive family. These dogs are just two of her own personal furry friends, and she loves taking care of them.

Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough is the proud mother to two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Lexi and Harley. The Dancing With the Stars champion says that they never fail to make her laugh or smile. When she’s acting, Julianne will sometimes even run lines with her pooches, although they aren’t the biggest help in the world. “They’re my babies,” Julianne says.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton was the one who started the celebrity trend of carrying tiny pups around in purses with her Chihuahua, Tinkerbell. Sadly, her beloved fur baby passed away at age 14 in 2015, but Paris gave her a proper send-off by putting out a commemorative Tweet as a eulogy. “I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten.”

Kellan Lutz

Twilight actor Kellan Lutz has two dogs, Kevin and Kola, that he says is a big reason for his rockin’ bod. He says that walking the two pups on their leashes, which they constantly get tangled in, is hard work! The little family of three often go hiking and camping together. Although there is a bit of a sibling rivalry between the two rescue dogs, they ultimately love each other and get along when it counts.

Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed and her husband Ian Somerhalder are both big-time animal lovers. She adopted this little gray beauty, Sohalia, when she went to an animal shelter to love on the homeless kitties. She ended up bringing her home as the third cat in the household, and hasn’t regretted it once. Of the new addition, Nikki says, “She runs the house, but I love her, and just sort of let her do what she wants to do.”

Matthew McConaughey

As if you needed one more reason to love Matthew McConaughey. That’s right, this hunk of man is also a dog dad to two happy pooches, Bigi and BJ. The actor is an advocate for rescue animals and shelters, and spends all the time he can with his furry children–AND his human children. They are often spotted living the good life with their dad. He doesn’t even have to leash his dog, BJ, because he is so well-behaved!

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff’s French bulldog Beau was an absolute member of the family. Although he sadly died in January of 2016, the pup was treated like royalty and loved like only a beloved dog can be. On the day of his passing, Hilary posted a heart-wrenching photo on Instagram with a message saying goodbye to her four-legged friend.

Nick Jonas

Named after two of Nick Jonas’s singing inspirations (Elvis Presley and Elvis Costello), this fluffy pup is Nick’s best friend. Elvis goes everywhere with his doggy dad, including getaway vacations on airplanes to mountain locales! Nick has said that hanging with Elvis for a little quality time is one of his favorite hobbies.

Lucy Hale

Lucy Hale’s maltipoo Jack has been her close companion through the good times and bad. Although she has a new puppy addition to her furry collection (another puppy named Elvis), Jack hasn’t had to give up and make room for the newcomer. Dubbing them her “sons,” she loves them both equally and takes obnoxious amounts of Instagram pics–okay, we really don’t mind, they’re just so darn cute!

AnnaSophia Robb

AnnaSophia Robb’s obsession with her dog is so intense, she even knighted him! Cuddles are his game, Sir Ferguson is his name. The actress posts many a pic of her new man on Instagram–and he’s a handsome one at that!

Janel Parrish

Pretty Little Liars actress Janel Parrish has the perfect name for her two-toned canine: Princess Oreo. The adorable pair can be seen gracing the pages of Janel’s Instagram feed and snuggling up together on the couch at night.

Gavin Rossdale

Gavin Rossdale and his dog Chewy share a very close bond. Gavin once rescued Chewy from drowning in the ocean waves while they were on vacation in Miami! The small Pomeranian was nearly swept away by the waves, but Gavin dove in after him and saved his life. Now THAT’S real love!

Ashley Benson

Ashley Benson loves her pooch Olive so much that she even dresses her up for Halloween! Also sporting her own Instagram account, Olive is a pampered pup and loves to snuggle with her mommy on any given night. Her favorite activities include dining out at restaurants with Mom and sleeping in the big bed like a human.

Emmy Rossum

Like Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum is a proud supporter of the Best Friends Animal Society, and proudly tells her story of adopting her newest addition, Pepper. Emmy advocates for people to adopt rescue animals instead of buying, because they all need homes, but none more than older animals. Pepper is an adorable pooch and we (nor Emmy) can’t get enough of her dark furry eyes!

Ian Somerhalder

Ian Somerhalder made a shocking discovery when he took his recently-rescued dog Nietzsche to the vet to be spayed–she was pregnant and ready to pop! The vets didn’t know until they had already opened her up, and when they did, they were quick to close her back up again! Now the owner of 7 dogs, Ian is a happy dog dad and loves all his animals equally!

Iggy Azalea

Iggy’s bulldog, Jelli, is a star-studded pooch for sure. Doted on by celebrity mama Iggy Azalea, she has quite the life. “Jelli” is actually short for “Shrinkabull jam don’t shake like that Jelli.” Good thing she shortened it! Although it does seem like a good line for a song lyric…

Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens’ toy poodle pup’s name is Shadow, and she is a cutie! Originally belonging to her little sister (who didn’t quite know how to care for such a small dog), Shadow was adopted by Vanessa and became her instant sweetheart. “She’s very, very spunky. She has way too much personality,” Hudgens said. “Unless you give her attention and baby her, she’s going to want to kill you.” Let’s hope Vanessa babies her as much as she requires!

Dianna Agron

Dianna Agron’s French bulldog and Boston terrier mix (Freddie) is her all-around friend and companion. Together, they go for walks, play dress-up, and snuggle multiple times a day! Freddie is there for her during the hard times, like when her Glee co-star Cory Monteith died suddenly, and when she gets parking tickets! He’s one man that will never let her down.

Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy is a total dog lover. His best friend for many years was a dog named Max, and he dedicated an entire oral speech to his love for his four-legged friend. He has said that dogs are his only real friends, and he even refused to attend drama classes without one by his side back in the nineties. Talk about a devoted dog dad!

Taye Diggs

Yet another doting pooch daddy is Taye Diggs, whose fur child’s name is Sammy Davis Jr. Taye said the name for his dog was kind of a joke, because his wife at the time (Idina Menzel) was Jewish, and Taye is black, which is what Sammy Davis Jr. came from–he’s black and he’s Jewish. Makes total sense! In any case, Taye supports several causes dedicated to loving dogs, and he has a great relationship with his own pooch.

George Clooney

George Clooney had a unique (and hairy) companion in the form of his pet potbellied pig, Max. The two were as close as could be, even sharing the same bed! They snacked together and gave sweet kisses like these. Sadly, Max passed away in 2006 after 18 years together. George vowed never to get another pig, because Max satisfied all his “pig needs.” Sniffle.

Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson’s pit-bull mix, Penny Lane, is a unique member of her family. Gifted to her by ex-fiance Adam Brody, she is part of a custody agreement they enacted when the couple broke up. They now share custody of the pup because neither of them could bear to part with her. Now Penny Lane has two homes!

Adam Sandler

Meatball was the name of Adam Sandler’s four-legged ring bearer at his wedding, tuxedo and all! Adam was completely in love with his little bulldog, and he even had a little white yarmulke that the dog wore during the ceremony. When Meatball passed away, Sandler held a memorial service with more than 100 guests and a cake with Meatball’s face on it. Talk about a member of the family! I hope I get a funeral that nice when I bite the dust!

Sophie Turner

Sansa Stark–ahem, Sophie Turner–actually adopted her on-screen character’s direwolf. In Game of Thrones, we all remember when Lady, Sansa’s well-behaved northern direwolf, was unfairly put to death for the crime committed by her sister’s wolf, Nymeria, who ran away. In real life, however, Sophie Turner was able to persuade the show’s directors to let her adopt the Mahlek Northern Inuit Dog, Zunni. Now, her favorite thing to do is relax at home with the giant wolf dog in her lap (who is very well-behaved in real life!). Talk about a supermom!
