Hi All,

Did this F355 with issues in terms of contamination and swirls. There was also polish residue on the soft top from a previous detail that was next to impossible to remove. The owner decided to claybar with water as lube the vehicle back in January and thought the car looked brilliant, but when he took it out in the sun he's heart just sank after seeing the damage he caused! My guess is that he was collecting contaminants and pushing quite hard causing all the damage. All the issues caused the owner to cover the car in a ferrari cover and just forget about it until he found time to do something about it. He was not happy driving it in public with the way it looked. Add to this, I found this that was being used on a regular occasion. LOL.

So after a discussion with the owner we decided what track that he would like me to go down, and that would be trying to get the paint back to as close as mint as could be. The end result left him speechless. It makes it all worth it when they see the work being done and know the hard work that is detailing! And the expression on the owners face is what pleased me most about this detail. He was a proud owner once again! He spent the whole time with me and has learnt a lot in terms of maintenance, and thrown away or should I say use the FW1 on the shower screen.

The process was

Foam Lanced with Pink Soap and a little APC

Sponge wash with Muffy Sponge (Pink soap again)

Dried with Waffle Weave Towel

Blow dried crevices

Claybarred

2 passes with HD Uno, White Pad

1 Pass HD Polish on Black

Jeweled with Gold LC Jewelling Pad and HD polish

Eraser

2 coats of Cquartz Finest

Tyres and plastics coated in Perl

Before I started

Bit of Brush work

Back inside and a 50/50

Corrected

Using the extension piece for the inserts

About 3 quarters of the way through correction and its starting to take shape

I forgot afters for this but had fun taping it up!!!

Laying the finest down, look like a tool but that finest has quite a strong smell to it.

Finished shots

Also placed these badges on for the owner to as close to ferrari specifications as I could, which really set the car off
