Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said the visit by ten of South Korea’s leading digital influencers has been secured through a partnership with Destination NSW, Tourism Australia and Lotte Duty Free Shop.

“We are delighted to be providing some of South Korea’s most famous travel bloggers with the opportunity to experience the Bryon Bay region and to share their experiences with their followers,” Ms Chipchase said.

“As part of the joint marketing campaign with Lotte Duty Free Shop and Tourism Australia, the content captured by the bloggers will be shared with Lotte’s large database of 4 million members in addition to their personal online platforms.

“Increasingly travellers are seeking inspiration online when planning and researching their holidays, with social media and travel blogs popular sources of information.

“As the group travels around the Byron Bay region, every moment of their visit will be shared with their followers, who collectively have a daily visitor number of over 45,600.

“From fresh local seafood to award-winning accommodation, this special visit will showcase the beauty and depth of experiences in Byron Bay and encourage more visitors from South Korea to visit this special part of Northern NSW.”

The blogger familiarisation will take place from 25 until 29 October 2016 and include two nights in Byron Bay and two nights in Sydney.
