What can I say, pining Dean and pining Cas in the same fic with alternating POVs is like my favorite thing ever. Add the bodyguard and president aspects to it and it’s like match made in fan fic heaven just for me. Of course, I wish that this story was longer; and maybe the last chapters could be better plotted but, oh well. This is a lovely fic to sate one’s craving for destiel schmoop. There’s loads of UST, some very nice snark, some angst, and an unavoidable (and necessary) commentary on a homophobic part of the electorate. This fic definitely goes on my feel good fic rec list. :)
