The new releases of the week, Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu starrer RUNNING SHAADI, Naseeruddin Shah’s IRADA and THE GHAZI ATTACK (dubbed), saw a somewhat disappointing response at the ticket window. From the three, it was THE GHAZI ATTACK (dubbed) which fared the best (comparatively), running at around 10-15 percent occupancy on an average, but is expected to pick up to middle level collections during the weekend, due to some positive reviews and feedback.

JOLLY LLB 2 MOVIE STILLS

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar‘s Subhash Kapoor directed JOLLY LLB 2 kept the success record of the franchise intact, netting in excess of 75 crore (to be validated) during the opening week from India.

JOLLY LLB 2 has also done very well in the overseas grossing $1,065,000 (estimated) from the US, during the first week, and is all set to be the next big success for Akshay Kumar, who has hit a purple patch and is going through one the best phase(s) of his career.

Concluding with Hrithik Roshan’s KAABIL and Shah Rukh Khan’s RAEES, while the former has netted 97 crore, the latter is at 134 crore at the end of the third week, both totals are to be validated. It is but obvious that KAABIL and RAEES are at the fag end of their respective runs, and will end up just over the above average mark, in the end count.

In the overseas it is a one horse race with RAEES beating KAABIL by almost $8.50m.
