You want to remember every single detail of your wedding day–which is why you have a photographer to capture those beautiful, simply-cant-catch-your-breath moments. In particular, a lot of special things happen in the bridal suite. Your anticipation is at its highest and its the calm before the rush of the day. Make sure you can relive it with the best photos possible! Review this guide with your photog and your wedding album will thank you!

The Invitation Suite

It took a lot of time to pick out your invitation suite! Be sure to commemorate it with its own little photo shoot. Bring the Save-the-Day, the invitation, the envelope, and all the corresponding enclosures. Your photographer will lay them out against a cool background and capture them in all their glossy glory.

The Dress

It’s the one! Okay, so your fiance is really the one, but your wedding gown is your second “one.” You’ll have tons of shots wearing it but you’ll also want some of it solo so you can remember all of its details. Hang it on a lovely bridal hanger so it’s all pretty for its closeup!

The shoes

Get those pretty heels documented! Your shoes will be hidden for most of the day so this pic will showcase your #shoestyle. Keep them nice right up until the wedding–you don’t want any toe marks showing on your stunning slippers!

The Bouquet

Your bridal bouquet is an iconic part of your ensemble. Your photographer will want some alone time with it to get a great shot of its details. If she asks to take it outside or to display it in a unique way, tell her to go ahead! She probably has something awesomely artistic in mind for it!

The Details

Little details are the heart of your wedding story (and in this case, both literally and figuratively)! Your photographer won’t know if you have your wedding day date embroidered inside your gown or if, like this bride, your something blue is stitched to your bodice. Be sure to give her a heads up so she can capture it.

The Letter

If you and your fiance exchange love letters on the morning of the wedding, make sure your photographer–and tissues–are handy for when you open yours. Emotions often run high during this time so your photographer will get some great shots that capture the love you feel for your special man.

The Dressing

Wedding gowns are magic! They instantly transform you into a bride! Your photographer will want to snap some shots of you pulling it up and getting buttoned (or zippered or corseted!) into it. Since this is a great moment, you’ll want someone important, like your MOB or MOH to do the honors.

The Bridal Portrait

After the veil is slipped into your hair, you really are ready to go. An up close bridal portrait will capture your beauty and those other elements, like your wedding hairstyle and makeup. Of course, when you look at the photo, all you’ll notice is how truly and madly in love you seem.

The Exit

As you leave the bridal suite, veil in place and bouquet in hand, you’ll want your photographer to run ahead to get some shots of you as you head to your first look or the ceremony. These images will show how you look from head-to-toe!

And, with all your bridal suite pictures taken, let yourself be whisked into the beauty of the day!
