Ocean is such a magic place where you can find lots of unbelievable creatures. We have been talking a lot about ocean animals and be surprised by their unusual appearance or unique behavior again and again. Today, we would like to show you another amazing creature – flamboyant cuttlefish. Also known as Metasepia pfefferi, flamboyant cuttlefish is a species of cuttlefish occurring in tropical Indo-Pacific waters off northern Australia, southern New Guinea, as well as numerous islands of the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia.
They usually move around by ‘walking’ along the seafloor, moving the bottom of the mantle back and forth in a comical, elephant-like shuffle while undulating their fins and waving their brightly colored tentacles, just like a dancing blossom flower. But don’t be fooled by its beauty — this flashy cephalopod could be deadly.
