In a refreshing departure from the usual turquoise washed aquatic photography, Indonesian photographer Hengi Koentjoro's latest series ignores colour completely, creating desaturated, dark and brooding images of underwater scenes taken in and around Jakarta, Indonesia. Once the blue is removed, only the composition remains, pulling the viewer into a dreamlike and mysterious water world.
