Disclosure: This post is in partnership with Michaels Stores. I was chosen to be a Michaels Maker, all opinions are 100% my own.

Halloween is just around the corner! While it’s not a huge deal in our household, our kids still like to dress up and fill their bags with candy. Every year I let my daughter pick what she wants to be for Halloween, this year I she chose a bunny! Since she is the most girly girl I know, I decided to make her a Shabby Chic DIY Kids Bunny Costume full of pink, sparkle and lace!

I headed to Michaels to see what I could find for her costume and it was a gold mine for everything girly! We had a blast picking everything out together. Michaels has great products and inspiration to help transform your yard, classroom or living room into a spooktacular space this year.

Is she not the cutest bunny you have ever seen? Oh my, she melts my heart.

Little bunny foo foo…. ok anyway…this costume was pretty simple to put together. A little sewing was involved but you could also use hot glue if hand sewing isn’t your thing.

Her little fur cuffs were very simple to make. We simply cut the fur fabric, added velcro and then hand tacked on the bling ribbon.

Whether you’re into spooky sights, playful pumpkins or giggling ghouls, the Michaels.com Halloween project page has tons of ideas for DIY Halloween costumes and décor.

My mom actually made the little bootie covers for her. They slip right over her shoes and then tie in the back with satin ribbon.

Want to make your own? Here are the supplies I used.

SUPPLIES:

Blush, Ivory and Blush Sparkle Tulle (1 roll of each)

Cream Faux Fur ( I actually cut up a faux fur pillow found at Michaels)

1 Piece of 8X10 Ivory Felt

Craft Headband

Blush Acrylic Paint

Iridescente Glitter

Lace Mum Stickers in Pink

Pink Bling Ribbon

1″ Elastic for Waist Band

1/4″ Elastic for Shoe Covers

*Not all products are available online, but are available at Michaels Stores. Purchased separately tights, pearls and ivory leotard.
