I use a heavier comforter in the fall and winter, changing to a lightweight duvet during the warmer months. By simply swapping out my pillowcases and duvet cover, I can change the feel of my bedroom from warm and winter-cozy to refreshing and spring-breezy. I found these pillow covers on Amazon, priced anywhere from $3 to $9. What a deal! I recommend buying pillow covers for your existing pillows if possible. This will not only save you tons of money, it will save you storage space as well.

Throw pillows can be so much FUN! We’ve all seen the “create your own throw pillow” websites, but in my experience the quality was never something I would recommend. Until I saw a design-your-own throw pillow from VistaPrint in person. A friend of mine recently created a few pillows for her family members using close-up pictures of the family pets; the colors turned out great and the picture was surprisingly sharp. I see even more throw pillows in my near future; look what I just made!
