Ollie Horgan's Blue and White Army made the trip to the City Calling Stadium in Longford on Friday night for their Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup second round clash.

First Division Finn Harps were 5/1 with the bookies to bank a win.

And while they failed to do that, the Finn Harps fans were more than happy with a 1-1 draw against Premier Division Longford Town.

The replay will be a Finn Park this Bank Holiday Monday at 8.00 pm.

The Donegal club led 1-0  early on but at the break it was all square.

Harps, unbeaten in 12 league games since the start of the season, suffered a major set-back on 20 minutes when Damien McNulty was sent off.

But just two minutes later Letterkenny midfielder Gareth Harkin fired the Donegal club ahead.

Longford drew level on 42 minutes through the experienced Stephen Rice.

Harps looked comfortable for much of the second half although the Tony Cousins managed side did hit the woodwork late on through Kevin O'Connor.

Harps held on for the draw, even though there was five minutes stoppage time. Goalkeeper Ciaran Gallagher made some key saves for Harps and was the man of the match.

Harps boss Ollie Horgan was banished to the stands late on.
