Nierman Practice Management has released its 2017 dental continuing education (CE) schedule.

The 28-year-old company educates dental practices on implementing medical billing, sleep apnea treatment, and craniofacial pain/TMJ treatment. In 2016, Nierman Practice Management educated more than 1,000 dental professionals through its seminars.

For 2017, dental sleep medicine, craniofacial pain, and dental-medical billing remain the focus, and Nierman will offer more advanced levels for dental practices that have already taken several courses and are looking to grow those services.

Their 2017 CE course locations include Jupiter, Fla, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, Las Vegas, and more.

In addition to traditional CE seminars, Nierman also offers programs such as clinical shadowing courses and remote-mentoring programs in dental sleep medicine, TMJ, and medical billing-in-dentistry. These programs allow dentists and their team to gain experience by observing real cases, and obtain guidance from expert clinicians.

Nierman Practice Management’s dental continuing education is accredited through ADA CERP and AGD PACE.

Their dental sleep medicine and craniofacial pain courses for 2017 will be jointly provided through SCOPE (Sleep-Apnea, Cranio and Orofacial Pain Education) Institute, a non-profit corporation founded by Nierman Practice Management’s CE director Jon Nierman.

The SCOPE Institute lists states its mission “to advance the education and implementation of sleep apnea, TMJ, and orofacial pain treatment within dentistry for the sake of alleviating these disorders within the population.”

Dental practices seeking certain accreditations may have a requirement to attend CE provided by an educational non-profit, which the SCOPE Institute falls under.

The Nierman 2017 speakers include Rose Nierman, RDH, Mayoor Patel, DDS, MS, Ken Berley, JD, DDS, Shouresh Charkhandeh, DDS, Todd Morgan, DMD, Terry Bennett, DMD, and Anthony Sims, DDS.

“Our aim is to provide leading-edge education in dental sleep medicine, craniofacial pain, and medical billing. Every speaker on our faculty is charismatic, highly experienced, and holds completely unique credentials in their field,” says Jon Nierman, director of continuing education at Nierman Practice Management, in a release. “Our philosophy is that quality of the education program comes down to the quality of the speakers, combined with a curriculum that allows for continuous growth and learning.”
