This weekend, thousands upon thousands of Americans joined Democrats in 30 states across the country with one united message to Republicans: End the assault on Americans’ health care.

While Speaker Ryan spent the weekend tweeting about House GOP’s ‘cut and run’ ACA repeal plan, Doug Lunn, a Los Angeles resident who credits the ACA for providing him with the resources to fight his cancer, shared his testimony: “I wouldn’t be here talking to you if I didn’t have this care. I wouldn’t have made it through 2015.” And Lisa Bible of Bancroft, Michigan told the crowd at Macomb Community College of her health consequences without the ACA: “I’m going to get really sick and my life will be at risk.” Individuals like Mr. Lunn and Ms. Bible joined House and Senate Democrats in events across the country over the weekend to share stories and let Republicans know they will stand up again their Make America Sick Again agenda.
Guided by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. quote, “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane,” Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Southern California Democrats held a press conference in Los Angeles (Twitter)
