The Jiahua Mandarin Immersive features intensive coursework in an immersive environment with fifteen to thirty hours of Mandarin training weekly. Learning takes place inside and outside of the classroom, including “action homework” consisting of everyday activities like ordering food, instructing a taxi driver, or haggling at the local market. Jiahua promotes cultural exploration and offers an “instant community” of study partners, other students, and teachers.
Jiahua professional language school is now looking for English teachers. Most important qualifications are an ability to speak English cleanly and clearly, a good attitude, and an ability to teach. Of course, a native speaker from one of the five approved English-speaking countries (U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) is preferred, but any fluent English speaker with a clean accent who is easily understood is the top priority and more than welcome to apply. You will not be turned away due to race, gender, or country of origin. A minimum of three years of experience is preferred, but a good attitude and willingness to do well is very important. All candidates are judged on merit and teaching ability, and must conduct an interview as well as a brief live lesson.
