Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Lord, we give thanks for the many benefactors and supporters of DeLaSale, who will share of their time and generosity this weekend at our Christian Brothers’ Gala. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

If you intend on trying out and playing a winter sport, you must register, even if you have already signed up on a sheet in the Florance Center during lunches. Please look for an email with a link to register and follow the instructions. This is not binding you to play, and there are no fees associated.

Free and Reduced Lunch Benefit Applications Due Today

The deadline to apply for free and reduced lunch benefits is today. Families must submit a new application each year even if a student qualified for and received free and reduced lunch benefits last year. Please click here to download the application [forma en español]. Contact Ms. Pam Beckman with any questions.

Mentor Meetings Tuesday

Students will meet with academic mentors after 1st hour on Tuesday to discuss academic progress. Please bring homework or other materials to work on quietly.

Parent Association Meeting Monday: Global Advantage

All parents are invited to the October meeting of the Parent Association on Monday from 6:30-8:00pm in the Library.

Following a brief social, providing parents the opportunity to meet other parents, the featured presentation will be on DeLaSalle’s unique Global Advantage Program. Learn about the goals and features of the program, how students may participate in academic trips or exchange programs, how families may become hosts for international students, and much more.

Senior Cap and Gown, Graduation Packages

Seniors and their families may now order graduation accessories from Jostens. Students received an order package during a meeting yesterday with a Jostens representative. Students who did not receive an information packet may pick one up from the Guidance office. Orders may be placed on Tuesday, October 13, when the representative returns and will be available during student lunches. Payment plans are available.

While the order form inside the packet students received included blank spaces to fill in cap and gown information, seniors should instead complete this Google form with their name, height, and weight.

Please visit the Jostens website for more information.

Christmas Art Contest

We are looking for artwork for our DeLaSalle Christmas card this year.  The piece needs to be 5″x7″ or 9″x12″ using any medium and designed with a Holiday theme. Submit your piece by Monday, October 19. Special gift for the chosen piece.  See Ms. Megan if you have any questions.

Respect for Life Month; Join the Collection Drive

WHY IS RESPECT LIFE MONTH IMPORTANT? It is a time to move away from the ways people disrespect life through war, pornography, poverty, abuse of the elderly, neglect of children, and abortion. At DeLaSalle, we focus on daily supplies for babies born to families in need.  Every donation you bring in to Lasallian Ministry or to Albers Atrium, whether big or small, will go to the Northside Total Life Care Center. Give a little … for the babies!
