Help Us Give the Island a Fall Cleanup on Saturday

Students can earn Christian Service hours at the fall Island Cleanup this Saturday from 9:30am-12:00pm. Help us take care of Nicollet Island and the DeLaSalle campus, be good neighbors, and provide service to our school community. Co-sponsored by the DeLaSalle Parent Association and the GREEN Team, we invite parents, students, staff and friends of De to join us for a morning of service, working together in small groups.  We’ll finish the morning with a community cook-out on Christian Brothers’ Plaza, organized by the Parent Association.  Bring a rake and gloves if you have them.  For more information, please contact either Tim Lynch, moderator of the Green Team, or Mike O’Keefe, liaison to the Parent Association.

Monday Morning Prayer in the School Chapel

Monday Lunch with Fr. Joe

How do we know that God exists?  Is it just a matter of faith, or is it reasonable to believe in a Creator?  Being that a small but growing minority of Americans (almost 1 in 10) do not believe in God at all, now is a good time to rediscover how solid our belief in God truly is.  Learn about how even our innate desire for God gives us proof.  Come to the Lasallian Ministry office during lunch hours on Mondays (Oct. 31, Nov. 7, Nov. 14) to enjoy a free cookie, a brief video clip, and some good discussion with Fr. Joe Kuharski, our school chaplain.

Next NET Lifeline Mass is Saturday, December 3

Sorry to those who hoped to go to the NET Lifeline Mass in November – the priest saying that Mass is such a popular speaker that they have to sell tickets for it and it was already sold out in early October! We will have to go that one next year and see what all the excitement is about! In the meantime, it works out OK, because Lasallian Ministry has the Night to Fight Homelessness that same weekend. Check with Ms. Hodapp for details!

Our next Lifeline Mass will be Saturday December 3. There is a concert afterwards with Steve Angrisano and the tickets are $10. Mark your calendar and watch The Source for a sign-up form and permission slip.
