Upcoming College Visits

All college visits take place in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. In order to meet with a college rep, you must register for the visit through your Naviance account and notify your teacher at least one day before the visit. You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. Remember, you are responsible for any work you miss during your visit with the college rep.

Academic Mentor Meetings Today; Room Change

Academic mentor meetings are scheduled after 1st hour today. Please meet with your academic mentor in your regular location. Mentors who usually held meetings in what was the Robert Casanova Room will meet instead in the Main Gym. This will be the last mentor meeting of the school year. Remember to bring homework and other materials for quiet study when you are not meeting individually with your mentor.

College Fair Tonight

Students are invited to a college fair at Benilde-St. Margaret’s tonight from 7:00-8:30pm. There will be over 100 colleges in attendance! This is a great opportunity for you to get some face time with the person who may be reviewing your application in the near future. This fair is always less crowded at the beginning and at the end, plan accordingly.

A reminder about appropriate dress: If you have a sports practice or game you may come in your uniform. All other students should follow the DLS out of uniform rules for dress and remember that your are making a first impression as a potential student.

AP Pre-administration Session Tomorrow

AP Students: ALL students taking AP tests must attend the REQUIRED pre-administration session.during your lunch period tomorrow in the LL Grey Gym. Bring your lunch and a #2 pencil. This is the session that was postponed from last week because test materials had not yet arrived.

Out of Uniform Day Thursday

The GREEN Team sponsors the next Out of Uniform Day on Thursday. Buy your wristband for $1 during lunches today or tomorrow or for $2 before school on Thursday.

Negative Lunch Account Balances

The DeLaSalle Cafe is a pre paid lunch account system. Starting on Monday, April 25, students with a negative account balance will not be able to purchase any items in the Cafe. All students who have a negative balance, including those who receive free or reduced lunch benefits, will be offered a bag lunch with a cheese sandwich, fruit and milk.

Parents can manage a child’s cafeteria account through the LunchTime payment portal. Click here for instructions on how to create an account. The DeLaSalle Cafe webpage also includes instructions about how to deposit money electronically into your child’s account and how to view your child’s transactions and balance. Questions? Submit Prayer Requests: Parent Prayer Group Meets Friday

If you want to offer a prayer intention, you can submit a prayer request via boxes in the main office, Lasallian Ministry office, or in your Theology classroom. The De Parents in Prayer group, which is sponsored by the Parent Association, will lift up all of these prayers when it meets on Friday from 1:45-2:45pm in the Florance Center. We hope you will feel encouraged by the knowledge that people care about you, are excited for you and are PRAYING FOR YOU! All parents, family members, friends, and alumni are welcome. Questions? DLITE 2016 Summer Leadership Camp

The Dunrovin Retreat Center in the Twin Cities is offering a summer leadership training camp. It is an opportunity to both earn Christian Service hours and build your leadership skills. School Library Media Month, Trivia Contest

Celebrate School Library Media Month and enter the library trivia contest for a chance to win an iTunes gift card.  Watch The Source every day this week for a different question.  Stop in the library to submit your answer for each day.  Winners will be announced the following week.

Volunteer at Sharing and Caring Hands

Students are invited to volunteer serving the afternoon meal at Sharing and Caring Hands after school on Wednesday (3:07-4:30pm). Please email Miss Barry if you are interested. Space is limited for only 8 students.

Soul Steppin' Scholars Stomp Down

The DeLaSalle Onyx Step Team will compete this Saturday at 3pm in the Soul Steppin’ Scholars Stomp Down at South High School. Come see as they perform their “School Daze – The Recess” routine. Tickets cost $10 and you can buy them in the Lasallian Ministry office.

Jefferson Award Nominations

Nominations are being accepted for the Jefferson Awards for public service. Each year, DeLaSalle honors students/staff/community members for outstanding service. At our Thanksgiving liturgy, we honored the students who participated in the Blackfeet trip to Montana; at our Catholic Schools Week liturgy we honored students involved in the older and wiser program at Ascension church.

If you would like to nominate an individual or a group to receive a Jefferson Award at our Founder’s Day Mass, please e-mail Ms. Hodapp with the name of the nominee and the service project completed by Wednesday, April 20.
