Daughters of Africa Assembly Today

In celebration of Black History Month, DeLaSalle welcomes Mixed Blood Theater’s production of “Daughters of Africa” after 1st period today in the Florance Center. Fueled by the songs of Lena Horne, Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, and many others, this exuberant celebration of African American women’s triumphs and accomplishments features a striking collection of profiles of the famous and the forgotten.

2016 Prom Committee

Any Juniors or Seniors interested in helping with organizing this year’s Prom, please send an email to Ms. Weeks before Friday, February 26th. A email will then be sent by Ms. Weeks to confirm your participation and to discuss our first meeting and next steps. See. Ms. Weeks with any questions.

Boys' Locker Room

Due to construction, any male student-athlete who is not playing varsity basketball will need to clean out their locker immediately and turn in their lock to the Student Activities office. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Let's Go Skiing on Friday

Sign up now to join the Alpine Ski club for some skiing (or snowboarding) at Hyland Park in Bloomington. Click here to RSVP. Students need to fill out a liability waiver form if they have not already; visit the Student Activities office for a form. Ski club payments should be made payable to DeLaSalle High School.

Chess Club Tournament Today

Chess Club is hosting the Official Chess Tournament today – \so come to participate or cheer on your fellow Islanders as they battle for glory. Chess Club meets until 5:00pm in A204. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and if you just have time to stop by and play one quick, casual game instead of playing in the tournament, that’s fine. If you would still like to sign up, you can also send an email to Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson to sign up for the Feb. 18th tournament.

Tabletop Games Club Plays Today

Tabletop Games Club meets after school at 3:10pm in B307.  We will be playing a new game, Dixit, as well as a quickie that we have played before, Tsuro.  See Mr. Jung or Mr. Newman with questions.

GREEN Team Movie After School Today

Explore the impact of animal agriculture on the environment with the GREEN Team today at 4:00pm in the Rothweiler Room (near the Lasallian Ministry office in Christian Brothers’ Hall)!  Join us as we view the 2014 documentary film, ‘Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret.’  Snacks and discussion provided!

Spring Sports Sign-Ups Underway

Students interested in trying out for a spring sport are encouraged to sign up via an e-mail they received from the Student Activities office.

As a reminder, students must have a Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Eligibility form and a current physical (within the last three years) on file with the Student Activities office. Click here for more information.

Calling All Softball Players

There are around 30 days until spring sports start. If you are interested in playing softball this spring, please fill out this form. We will start with non returning players on March 7th. Filling this form out helps us create practice and workout plans for the first couple weeks. We look forward to seeing you the first day of practice!

Boys' Golf Sign-Ups

Any boys interested in golf should e-mail Coach Juergens at cjuergens@apps.delasalle.com. The season starts on Monday March 21. See the Student Activities office for paperwork.

Alumni Association Legacy-Farrell Scholarship Available for Juniors

The DeLaSalle Alumni Legacy/Farrell Scholarship is offered tojunior students who will receive the scholarship for their senior year at DeLaSalle. Applicants complete an application and are evaluated on their academics, extra-curricular activities, community, church and volunteer involvement. In addition, all applicants must have at least one relative who has graduated from DeLaSalle. Students must apply by Friday, March 11. Click here to apply.
