Position Summary:

Moore’s Law of doubling in speed and halving in cost is now considered too slow to explain changes in computing power\. Consumers are more connected than ever before\. They are shopping more online, they are turning to online videos for entertainment and information, they are streaming TV shows so they can watch when it’s convenient for them, they are influenced by online personalities, and they are rarely found without a mobile device in their hand\.

Understanding consumers in this connected world has disrupted the traditional market research industry\.As one of the largest market research buyers in the world, Unilever Consumer & Market Insights \(CMI\) is at the forefront of creating the new world of measurement and methodologies\.This role within the CMI Research Innovation team will focus on driving the future of media and digital methodologies for Unilever with a range of internal and external partners\.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leads the agenda for research innovation within the global Connect team\. The vision for Connect is to embrace this CONNECTED world\. Connect is where people, data, technology, & measurement become one\. Where efficiency & effectiveness metrics collide\. Where all consumer touch\-points matter, requiring a creative spark for innovation and communication projects

* Identifies new opportunities and priorities to build methodologies and new ways of understanding consumers in the connected world

* Partners with external start\-ups as well as the insight leads at our major media partnerships to create and pilot new methodologies and tools for Connect

* Engages with and inspires the insight industry to help move the industry into the future

Skills & Competencies Required:

* Undergraduate degree required

Work Experience:

* Demonstrated high performance, 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in insights, media or a start\-up in a relevant area

* Passion for understanding consumers and methodologies

* Personal passion for media and digital

Experience with media measurement tools as well as quantitative and qualitative research

* Desire to provoke the way people think about methodologies and be part of crafting new frontier

* External focus and curiosity to know what is happening beyond one’s own company
